The cookies have chopped apples, apple butter and apple juice in them, so they are really moist. They are rolled in a mixture of oatmeal, butter, and brown sugar before baking. They are baked for almost 30 minutes at a low temp of 300. I would just like to find out how I can make a cake instead because the cookies are so time consuming to scoop into balls and roll in the oatmeal mixture.

I have a bunch of small apples from an apple tree, and I know I had made an apple sauce a few years ago, but there was very little ingredients, just apples and and maybe sugar or water, I can’t remember. But I would also like to see some with cinamon too, if that is possible. I want to can the sauce also.

What could I use instead that I’ll be more likely to have around the house already. I already know you can’t use wax but what about just put putting the apple onto a thin baking pan or something? And if there is nothing to replace it, what is parchment paper?
